James 2:15-17
If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
What is the difference between saying "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving the things needed and saying "I am praying for you", without giving the things needed?
Peter had no cash but he gave what he had.
Acts 3:6
But Peter said, "I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!"
Anything less than was is needed is not enough. The question is "What is needed?" not "What can I afford?
