Fruit of the Spirit?

This morning the local paper had an editorial cartoon about Obama redistributing a family's Thanksgiving dinner. Our culture is to get as much as you can and to not share it. But is that Jesus' culture? Is there something inherently wrong with one person having millions or billions of dollars while there are children and even adults not having food to eat or a house to live in? At a point no matter how much too blame an adult is for their financial situation they cannot get out of it without help. Is there something odd for a society to permit that imbalance while asking that God bless the society? Does fruit of the Spirit allow for our culture?
